How it works

From the question to a better answer.

  1. Step 1

    Open a practice problem

Any site, editor or PDF. Nothing to paste.

  2. Step 2

    Move into your hot corner

    Or press ⌥⇧E.

  3. Step 3

    Step through the solution

    Approach, brute force, then optimised.

Why it helps

Built to make practice count.

  • Brute force and optimised

See why the faster one works.

  • Your language

Follows the language on the problem page. Python 3 by default.

    • Python
    • Java
    • C++
    • JavaScript
    • TypeScript
    • C
    • C#
    • Go
    • Kotlin
    • Swift
    • Rust
    • SQL
    • pandas
    • Bash

For practice, by design

ThirdEye is built for interview preparation, practice and mock interviews. Use it only where outside help is allowed, never in a real interview, exam or assessment.

Responsible use ·Terms of use

Coding practice: questions answered.

Which coding sites does ThirdEye work with?

Any site or app that shows the problem on screen: LeetCode, HackerRank, CodeChef and others, as well as code editors and documents. ThirdEye reads the screen itself, so it needs no integration with the site.

Which programming languages are supported?

Answers are written in the language selected on the problem page, with Python 3 by default. Database, pandas and shell problems are answered with a single solution.

Does it explain the solution or just give code?

It starts with the approach, then gives a brute-force solution and an optimised one, so you can follow the reasoning and compare both.

Are the solutions always correct?

No AI is perfect. Treat each answer as a strong worked example: read the reasoning, run the code and test the edge cases yourself.

Can I use it during a real coding test?

No. ThirdEye is for preparation and practice only. Using it in a real interview, online assessment or exam breaks our Terms and usually the rules of the test.

Installation and setup guide

  1. Download. Download ThirdEye.dmg from the Download card.

  2. Install and open. Move ThirdEye to Applications and open it. It runs from the menu bar.

  3. Sign in with the same account. In the app, open Settings → Account and use the login you use here.

  4. Allow screen access. Allow screen recording when macOS asks.

  5. Trigger it on a question. Set your shortcut or hot corner, then trigger it on a coding problem or a multiple-choice question. ThirdEye tells them apart by itself.

Detailed setup and troubleshooting

Get started

ThirdEye lives in your menu bar and reads the screen only when you ask. Here is everything from download to first answer.

Apple-silicon Mac
running macOS 14 or newer.
A ThirdEye account
Sign in with Google or GitHub from Settings → Account.

Install

  1. Download the disk image and open it.
  2. Drag ThirdEye into Applications.
  3. Open ThirdEye. The first time, macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the Internet. Choose Open.
  4. Follow the setup wizard. A few short pages: permissions and your hot corner. ThirdEye then sits in the menu bar with no Dock icon.
The ThirdEye menu-bar popover in dark mode The ThirdEye menu-bar popover in light mode
Click the menu-bar icon for the popover. Right-click it for Test Overlay and Diagnostics.

Permissions

ThirdEye needs one permission: Screen & System Audio Recording. Nothing else.

The setup wizard asks for it. If you missed the prompt:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.
  2. Switch ThirdEye on.
  3. Quit ThirdEye from the menu bar and open it again.
ThirdEye Settings, General tab, dark mode ThirdEye Settings, General tab, light mode
Settings → General shows the permission state and the privacy summary.

Using ThirdEye

1Trigger

Dwell in your hot corner (bottom-right by default) or press ⌥⇧E.

2Capture

ThirdEye reads what is under the pointer. Words first; pixels only when it must.

3Answer

The result appears in a quiet overlay. Esc dismisses, ⌘C copies.

What ThirdEye answers

There are no modes to pick: ThirdEye works out by itself what is on screen.

  • Coding problems (LeetCode, HackerRank, CodeChef and others): the approach, then a brute-force solution and an optimised one, in the language selected on the page. Well-known problems come straight from ThirdEye’s library.
  • Multiple-choice questions: the correct option.
  • Live mode (macOS 15 or later): set it up in Settings → Live to rehearse spoken interview answers with a teleprompter.
ThirdEye Settings, Capture tab, dark mode ThirdEye Settings, Capture tab, light mode
Settings → Capture: hot corner and shortcut.
A ThirdEye answer overlay
The overlay appears on the display you triggered from and fades on its own.

Troubleshooting

"Signed out" when you trigger

Analysis needs an account. Open Settings → Account and sign in. One account is active on one Mac at a time; signing in elsewhere asks whether to move it.

The overlay never appears

Right-click the menu-bar icon and choose Run Diagnostics. It checks the permission and the connection and tells you exactly what to fix. Show Test Overlay in the same menu confirms the overlay itself works.

Nothing happens in the hot corner

Check the dwell time in Settings → Capture. A longer dwell needs a longer pause. The shortcut ⌥⇧E works regardless.

Uninstall

  1. Quit ThirdEye from the menu bar.
  2. Move ThirdEye.app from Applications to the Trash.
  3. Optionally remove it from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.

Privacy

What ThirdEye sends, what it keeps, and what you can choose to save.

When ThirdEye captures

The app captures the display under the pointer only when you trigger it with your shortcut or hot corner. The still frame is handled in memory and never saved as an image file. Live mode listens only while you have switched it on.

What is sent for analysis

Each trigger reads the text on screen on your Mac and sends the still frame and that text to ThirdEye's service. Coding problems in ThirdEye's library are answered without any AI provider; other coding problems are sent with the frame and text; multiple-choice questions are answered from the frame alone.

Live mode

Speech is turned into text on your Mac; audio never leaves it and is never saved. To answer a question, the recent conversation as text, your profile and your latest capture are sent to the AI model, which may cache the repeated parts for up to an hour. Everything Live holds is erased when Live stops.

Who processes it

Requests go through ThirdEye's service to AI models hosted on Microsoft Azure. ThirdEye's service doesn't keep your captures, conversations, prompts or answers.

What ThirdEye keeps

Account and billing data, usage totals, and content-free records of each request and Live session: time, status, token counts and estimated cost, which describe a request's size, never its content. They apply your usage limit and settle billing questions and refunds, and expire after 180 days (the activity list after 30 to 60); daily totals are kept separately.

What you can choose to save

ThirdEye doesn't save answers on your Mac. You can copy an answer to the clipboard. With ThirdEye Companion, answers are kept only on your iPhone, for up to 30 days.

Practice only

ThirdEye is for preparation and practice. Never use it in a real interview, exam or assessment where outside help is not allowed; that responsibility is yours alone.

Last updated: 25 October 2026.

ThirdEye looks at your screen when you ask it to, and in Live mode it listens to a conversation while you have Live switched on. Screens and conversations can contain messages, credentials, personal data and information about other people. This policy explains, in full, what ThirdEye processes, what leaves your Mac, where it goes, how long anything is kept, and the rights you have. It applies to the ThirdEye app for Mac (including Live mode), ThirdEye Companion for iPhone, the ThirdEye analysis service and the ThirdEye website.

ThirdEye is a tool for preparation and practice only. It must not be used during a real interview, examination, test, assessment or any other situation in which outside assistance or tools of this kind are not permitted. How you use ThirdEye, and whether a given use is allowed, is your sole responsibility. The rules that govern this are set out in our Terms of use, which you accept by creating an account or using ThirdEye.

Who is responsible

The controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with ThirdEye within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Kanishk Kashayap, Stuntzstraße 18, 81677 München, Germany (Impressum). Email: support@thirdeye-app.com

In this policy, “ThirdEye”, “we” and “us” refer to the controller named above.

Screen analysis (triggers)

When it happens. ThirdEye captures the display under your pointer only when you trigger it with your keyboard shortcut or hot corner. It does not capture continuously or in the background.

What happens on your Mac.

  • The still frame is captured into memory, reduced in size and encoded. It is never written to disk. ThirdEye’s own windows are excluded from every capture.
  • The text visible on that frame is read on your Mac, using macOS’s built-in text recognition. Nothing is uploaded to do this.

What leaves your Mac. Each trigger sends the still frame and the text read from it to ThirdEye’s analysis service. The service uses the text to decide what kind of question is on screen (a coding problem or a multiple-choice question) and to find coding problems in ThirdEye’s stored library:

  • If the problem is in ThirdEye’s library, the stored answer is returned and nothing is sent to an AI provider.
  • If it is a coding problem that is not in the library, the frame and the text are sent to the AI provider, and the answer is streamed back to your Mac as it is written.
  • Otherwise the service treats it as a multiple-choice question and sends only the frame to the AI provider. The text read on your Mac is used for routing and is not forwarded on this path.

Requests to the AI provider are made with the provider’s storage feature turned off. The service does not keep the frame, the text read from it, the prompt or the answer once the request is complete.

Live mode

Live mode follows a conversation you are having, for example a mock interview or a practice session, and suggests answers to questions it hears. Live only runs while you have switched it on, and you can switch it off at any time.

Audio.

  • Live always listens to your microphone. In meeting mode it also listens to the audio of the meeting apps and browsers you select, using macOS’s screen and audio recording permission (audio only; no video or screen images are processed for this). A selected browser’s audio includes all of its tabs.
  • Speech is turned into text on your Mac. The speech-recognition model runs locally. Audio never leaves your Mac and is never recorded or saved.
  • The speech model (about 670 MB) is downloaded once, on request, from Hugging Face and stored inside ThirdEye’s app container on your Mac. Hugging Face receives the technical data that any download involves (such as your IP address); it receives nothing about you or your conversations.

What is sent to answer a question. When Live detects a question, it sends a request through ThirdEye’s service to an AI model. Each request can contain:

  • the question, roughly the last 45 seconds of the conversation as text (labelled as you or the other speaker), recent topics and up to the last three questions, and the beginnings of answers already shown;
  • your profile (see “Personal context” below), if you have set one up;
  • the result of your most recent screen capture taken while Live was on (for a coding problem, its title, code and complexities; for a multiple-choice question, the question, the chosen option and the reasoning).

The AI model used by Live is an Anthropic Claude model provided through Microsoft Azure AI Foundry. To answer faster, the provider may briefly cache the repeated parts of a request (your profile and your latest capture) for up to one hour. ThirdEye’s service relays each request and its answer in memory only; it does not log, trace or store the conversation, the question, the profile or the answer.

Your latest capture. While Live is on, the result of your most recent trigger is kept in memory so Live can talk about it. For a coding answer, it is passed to Live piece by piece as it is written (the code and its complexity only), and one additional request asks the AI model for a short explanation of the solution, which is used only as context and is never shown or stored.

When Live stops. Everything Live produced or received during the session (transcripts, questions, suggested answers, the latest capture and the explanation) is held in memory only and is erased when Live stops, including when your Mac sleeps or locks, when you sign out and when you quit ThirdEye.

Personal context (résumé and notes).

  • You may add a résumé (PDF, Word, RTF, text or Markdown) and type notes about your experience. ThirdEye keeps only a read-only reference to the résumé file; the file itself is not copied. The text is read on your Mac.
  • If “Use AI notes from my resume” is on (it is on by default), the work-experience part of your résumé is sent once per résumé to the AI model to write short notes. Those notes are saved in a private file in ThirdEye’s container on your Mac.
  • Your profile (your typed notes and the AI notes, or a short keyword profile if AI notes are off) is sent with every Live answer request and may be cached by the provider for up to one hour, as described above.
  • Removing the résumé in Live settings deletes the reference and the saved AI notes. Your typed notes are removed by clearing the field.

Eye contact (camera). If you turn on the eye-contact feature, ThirdEye uses your camera only while Live is listening, the feature is on and its preview is open. Camera frames, face crops and facial landmarks are processed on your Mac with Apple’s Vision framework, held in memory only, and never recorded, saved or sent. This feature is off by default.

Usage records for Live. For each Live request, ThirdEye records content-free information only: identifiers, timings, status codes, token counts and the estimated cost, added to your usage totals. Each Live session is also recorded with its start and end time, the number of answers and its estimated cost, so it appears on your dashboard and counts towards your usage limit. No audio and no text from the conversation is recorded.

Other people in your conversations

Live processes the speech of everyone it can hear, not just yours. Laws in many countries, including Germany (section 201 of the German Criminal Code), protect the confidentiality of the spoken word and may require the consent of other participants before their words are recorded, transcribed or processed. You are solely responsible for informing the other participants and obtaining any consent that the law, your employer, the organiser or the platform requires before you use Live. Do not use Live in any conversation where you are not permitted to do so.

ThirdEye Companion for iPhone

ThirdEye Companion shows ThirdEye’s answers from your Mac, and Live’s transcript lines and suggestions, on your iPhone.

What the iPhone app sends to us.

  • When you pair: a pairing code, a public key the iPhone creates for itself, the iPhone’s name, and whether it uses Apple’s test or production notification service.
  • After pairing: the iPhone’s Apple push notification token, so we can tell it something is ready, and short receipts saying which items arrived (an identifier only, never the content).

What passes through us.

  • When your iPhone is near your Mac, answers and Live lines go directly from the Mac to the iPhone over your local network, encrypted end to end, without passing through us.
  • When it is not, an answer travels through our servers and is held in memory only for at most 15 minutes until your iPhone collects it. Live’s final transcript lines and suggestions, and the start and state of a Live session, are held in memory only for at most 10 minutes for an iPhone that is locked or suspended. Partial lines are never held. Nothing of this is written to a database or to logs.
  • Push notifications never contain an answer or any conversation text. They say only “You have a new update”.

What stays on your iPhone. Your answers are stored only on your iPhone, for up to 30 days, and you can delete them at any time. Your companion sign-in is kept in the iPhone’s Keychain.

Disconnecting. Disconnect from the iPhone or the Mac at any time. This removes the iPhone’s registration, its push token and its sign-in from our servers, and deletes the answers saved on the iPhone.

What we don’t do. No advertising, no tracking, and no analytics or third-party SDKs in the iPhone app. We never sell your data.

What we keep

  • Account data. A minimal account profile so you can sign in (identifiers from your sign-in provider, your verified email address and your display name, stored encrypted where they identify you), and which Mac and which iPhone are linked to your account. We do not keep your sign-in provider’s access tokens, your avatar or your provider username.
  • Usage. Per-day totals (number of requests, token counts and estimated costs) to apply limits and quotas. These are kept while your account exists and afterwards only as long as accounting and legal obligations require.
  • Request metadata. For screen analysis, a short-lived record per request linked to your account, containing banded sizes and timings, the kind of request, its status and the time to the minute. These records are shown in your dashboard’s activity list and are deleted automatically after 30 to 60 days.
  • Usage and cost records. For each screen-analysis request, a record linked to your account with the time (to the second), the request identifier, the kind of request and its status, the exact number of tokens sent and received, and the estimated cost; and for each Live session, its start and end time, number of answers and estimated cost. Token counts and costs describe only the size of a request, not what it contained. We use these records to apply your usage limit (for example, a monthly allowance per billing period), to show your usage, and to answer billing questions, refund requests and payment disputes. They are deleted automatically after 180 days, or earlier if you delete your account.
  • None of these records ever contain the screenshot, the text read from it, the conversation, the prompt or the answer. Operational logs and our observability service (Langfuse) receive metadata only.
  • Support requests you send us, encrypted, for as long as needed to handle them.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Your card or other payment details go to Paddle and are handled under Paddle’s privacy policy; ThirdEye never sees or stores your full card number. From Paddle we keep only what we need to run your subscription: the Paddle customer, subscription and transaction identifiers, your plan and billing period, the amount and currency, the payment and subscription status, and the card brand and last four digits.

Discount codes. If we send you a discount code, we store a fingerprint of the code (not the code itself), your email address in encrypted form and as a fingerprint, the discount and its expiry date, and whether and when it was used and by which account. A code works only for the account with that email address. When you use it, we create a matching one-time discount at Paddle and attach it to your checkout; Paddle receives the discount, not your email address. Records we are legally required to keep for tax and accounting purposes are kept for the statutory periods.

What the app keeps on your Mac

  • Your settings (trigger, overlay style, Live preferences and the other choices in Settings). Never any answer, screen text or conversation.
  • One sign-in credential in the macOS Keychain, not synced to other devices.
  • For Live: the speech model, the reference to your résumé, your typed notes and the AI notes file described above.
  • No answers. Copy an answer to the clipboard when you need it.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individuals. It counts page views and records the page, the referring site, the browser and device type, the country and page-load timings, without cookies, local storage or fingerprinting, so we can see how the website is used and how fast it loads.

Who receives data (recipients and processors)

We use the following service providers, each only for the purpose stated and, where they act on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:

  • Microsoft (Azure): hosting of ThirdEye’s servers and database; the AI model for screen analysis (Azure OpenAI); and the Anthropic Claude model for Live (Azure AI Foundry).
  • Paddle: payments, as merchant of record.
  • Apple: delivery of push notifications to ThirdEye Companion (content-free).
  • Google and GitHub: signing in, if you choose them.
  • Cloudflare: hosting and security of the website, and cookieless website analytics.
  • Resend: sending emails such as invitations and support confirmations.
  • Hugging Face: the one-time download of Live’s speech model.
  • Langfuse: operational metadata only.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The AI providers’ own terms may allow them to keep limited data for a short time to detect abuse; requests are made with storage features turned off wherever the provider offers it.

  • Providing ThirdEye (account, screen analysis, Live, the companion, support): Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of our contract with you.
  • Security, abuse prevention, limits, and content-free operational metadata: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable service.
  • Cookieless website analytics: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and keeping it fast.
  • Usage and cost records (applying your usage limit and showing your usage): Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; handling billing questions, refund requests and payment disputes with them: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in establishing and defending payment claims.
  • Discount codes: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, applying the discount we offered you.
  • Keeping payment and tax records: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, legal obligations.
  • Camera, microphone and screen recording are used only after you grant the corresponding macOS permission and switch on the feature, and you can withdraw that permission in System Settings at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may delete your account at any time; this deletes your account data, subject to records we must keep by law. To exercise your rights, email support@thirdeye-app.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work, or with the authority responsible for us: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

Children

ThirdEye is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly process their data.

Your responsibility

  • Capture only content you are authorised to send, and use Live only in conversations where you are permitted to, with any consent the law or the other participants require.
  • ThirdEye, ThirdEye Companion and Live are for preparation and practice only: practice questions, coding problems, mock interviews and study. They must not be used during real interviews, examinations, tests, certifications or any other assessment in which outside assistance or tools of this kind are not permitted.
  • Whether a particular use is allowed is for you to determine, and you alone bear responsibility for how you use ThirdEye. See our Terms of use, in particular “Acceptable use” and “Your responsibility for fair use”.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when ThirdEye changes how it processes data, and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.

Release notes

3.1.0 — 2026-10-19

  • Fixed coding problems sometimes coming back as “Nothing found on screen” after your Mac had been asleep. ThirdEye now notices when reading your screen stops working and fixes it by itself.
  • If reading your screen can’t be fixed automatically, ThirdEye now says so and offers a one-click restart.
  • Run Diagnostics now also checks that ThirdEye can read your screen.

3.0.0 — 2026-10-18

  • No more presets. ThirdEye now works out by itself whether a screen shows a coding problem (LeetCode, HackerRank, CodeChef and others) or a multiple-choice question. Coding answers that aren’t in its library appear as they are written: a brute-force solution, then an optimised one.
  • Gaze correction, in Settings → General: a short guided calibration, then looking anywhere on your screen, or on a second screen beside it, is corrected towards the camera. It works with or without Live.
  • Output device now lives in Settings → General and in the menu bar, and iPhone can be chosen only while a phone is connected.
  • The first answer after installing is much faster, the Analysis mode setting is gone (every capture sends the screenshot and the text read on your Mac), and the analysing indicator is off by default for new installs.
  • Updated Terms of use and Privacy policy: ThirdEye is for practice and preparation only. You’ll be asked to agree once before your next capture or Live session.

2.0.1 — 2026-10-17

  • ThirdEye now updates itself. It checks once a day, or whenever you click Check now in Settings → General.
  • Updates install in one click and keep you signed in with your settings as they were.
  • Skipped a few versions? You go straight to the newest one.

1.1.0 — 2026-10-02

  • Invite-only sign-up. New accounts need an invite code, entered when you sign in. Existing accounts sign in as before.
  • Today’s usage. See how much of today’s allowance you’ve used, on the Account tab and on your dashboard. It resets at midnight UTC.
  • Manage your account on the web. A Manage button on the Account tab opens your dashboard; account deletion now happens there.
  • Tidier settings. The title sits in the window’s title bar, the tabs stay put while you scroll, updates are one row and check automatically, and the appearance switch moved to the menu-bar popover.
  • Custom prompts are up to 100 characters, with a live counter.
  • Interview Practice waits longer for long answers, so a full solution is never cut off.
  • You’re told clearly when you’ve been signed out, and when a capture can’t run because today’s limit is reached.

1.0.0 — 2026-09-29

First public release.

  • Hyper Private mode. Text is read on your Mac and sent instead of the picture whenever enough is legible.
  • Accounts. Sign in with Google or GitHub. One account, one active Mac.
  • Four presets. Multiple Choice, Screen Summary, Custom Prompt and Interview Practice.
  • Interview Practice answers three ways in Python and saves the code to Apple Notes.
  • Overlay. Configurable position, background and text colour, with a countdown bar and reduced-motion replacements for every animation.
  • Diagnostics. Right-click the menu-bar icon for a test overlay and a connection check.
  • Distributed as a disk image, signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Terms of use

Last updated: 18 October 2026.

ThirdEye is operated by Kanishk Kashayap, Stuntzstraße 18, 81677 München, Germany (Impressum) (“ThirdEye”, “we”, “us”). These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your use of the ThirdEye app for Mac, including its Live mode, ThirdEye Companion for iPhone, the ThirdEye analysis service and the ThirdEye website (together, the “Service”).

Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, signing in, installing or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read these Terms and our Privacy policy, and you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Purpose of the Service: preparation and practice only

ThirdEye is a tool for interview preparation, exam preparation, practice and self-study. It helps you work through practice questions, coding problems and mock interviews, and Live mode helps you rehearse conversations by suggesting answers to questions it hears.

The Service is not intended, designed or licensed for use in any real assessment. In particular, you must not use ThirdEye, Live mode, ThirdEye Companion, or any output from them:

  • during a real job interview, technical interview, coding test, online assessment or hiring exercise;
  • during an examination, test, quiz, certification, admission or qualification procedure of any school, university, professional body, employer or other organisation;
  • in any situation in which the organiser, the employer, the institution, the platform or the applicable rules prohibit outside assistance, AI tools, screen-reading tools, transcription or tools of this kind, or have not expressly permitted them;
  • to misrepresent your own knowledge, skills or performance to any third party.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and only for its intended purpose. You must not:

  • use the Service in breach of the section above, or in any way that breaks the rules of an assessment, an employer, an educational institution, a platform or any other third party;
  • capture, send or process content you are not authorised to send, including confidential, proprietary or personal information of others;
  • use Live mode in any conversation without informing the other participants and obtaining every consent required by law or by the circumstances (see “Live mode and other people” below);
  • attempt to circumvent usage limits, security measures or the one-device rule, share your account, or resell or sublicense access to the Service;
  • copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent mandatory law permits;
  • use the Service to infringe any person’s rights or to commit or facilitate any unlawful act.

Any use contrary to this section or to the previous section is misuse of the Service and a material breach of these Terms. We may, at our reasonable discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of users we reasonably believe are misusing the Service, without prejudice to any other rights we have.

Your responsibility for fair use

You alone decide when, where and how you use the Service, and you are solely and exclusively responsible for ensuring that each use is permitted. This includes checking, before every use, the rules of any interview, assessment, examination, employer, institution or platform involved, and complying with them.

ThirdEye does not and cannot know the context in which you use the Service, does not monitor how or where you use it, and does not review the content you capture or the conversations you have. ThirdEye’s operator and the persons acting on its behalf therefore assume no responsibility for whether any particular use is allowed and, within the limits set out under “Liability” below, no liability for the consequences of any use by you that breaks the rules of an assessment or of a third party. Such consequences may include, for example, disqualification, the cancellation or invalidation of results, the withdrawal of an offer, dismissal, academic or disciplinary sanctions, or claims by third parties.

Live mode and other people

Live mode processes the speech of everyone it can hear. Laws in many countries, including section 201 of the German Criminal Code, protect the confidentiality of the spoken word. Before using Live in any conversation, you must inform the other participants and obtain any consent required by law, by the organiser or by the platform. You must not use Live in any conversation in which you are not permitted to do so. You are solely responsible for complying with these obligations, and the section “Indemnity” applies to any claims arising from a breach of them.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify ThirdEye’s operator and the persons acting on its behalf against all claims that third parties assert against them because of your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or of applicable law, including the reasonable costs of legal defence, insofar as you are responsible for the breach. We will inform you promptly of any such claim and give you the opportunity to respond to it.

Accounts

One account is active on one Mac at a time. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may close accounts that abuse the Service or its limits.

Subscriptions and payments

  • ThirdEye is offered as a subscription with two plans: billed monthly, or billed every 3 months. Both renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. The price, and any applicable tax, is shown before you pay.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd or Paddle.com Inc.), which is the merchant of record for every ThirdEye purchase and issues your receipt. Paddle’s own buyer terms also apply to the payment.
  • You can cancel renewal at any time from Billing in your ThirdEye account. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing further is charged.
  • Refunds follow our refund policy: within 14 days of your first payment, the unused part of the period is refunded.
  • Termination of an account for misuse under these Terms does not entitle you to a refund of the period already paid, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Liability

  1. We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and to the extent we have given a guarantee.
  2. For damage caused through slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of an essential contractual obligation, meaning an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for this type of contract at the time it was concluded.
  3. In all other cases, our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
  4. These limitations also apply to the personal liability of ThirdEye’s operator in any capacity other than as the contracting party, and of the persons acting on its behalf.
  5. In particular, and without limiting the above, we are not liable for consequences that arise because you used the Service in breach of “Purpose of the Service”, “Acceptable use” or “Live mode and other people”, unless point 1 applies.
  6. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including your statutory rights regarding defects in digital products, are not affected by these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms for valid reasons, such as changes to the Service, to the law or to case law. We will tell you about changes at least four weeks before they take effect, in the app or by email. If you do not object before they take effect, the changed Terms apply; we will point out this consequence and your right to object in the notice. If you object, either party may end the contract when the changes take effect.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The invalid provision is replaced by the applicable statutory rules.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.

Refund policy

This policy explains how ThirdEye subscriptions renew, how to cancel, and when you can get your money back.

Who you pay

Payments for ThirdEye are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd or Paddle.com Inc., depending on where you are). Paddle is the merchant of record for every ThirdEye purchase and issues your receipt.

Renewal

Both plans are subscriptions that renew automatically, every month or every 3 months depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel.

Cancelling

You can cancel renewal at any time from Billing in your ThirdEye account. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing further is charged.

Refunds

  • First payment. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund the part of the period you have not used, in full if you have not used ThirdEye yet. Your usage is measured by the daily analysis limit you have consumed. To ask, email support@thirdeye-app.com within those 14 days.
  • Later renewals. Refunds for renewal payments are at our discretion. We will look kindly on a renewal charged shortly before you meant to cancel, a duplicate charge, or a technical fault that kept you from using ThirdEye.

Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

Your statutory rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If you live in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland you have a 14-day right of withdrawal; because access starts immediately at your request, a refund within that window is reduced by the value of what you have already used.
